8 Vital Reasons Why You NEED to Slow Down Ageing

Most people are generally unaware of the significant Risks accompanying ageing, how early these risks start to build (from mid 30’s), how fast they accumulate and the impact. Most people also do not have a plan to reduce and minimise these risks.

  1. There’s nothing more dangerous to us than age – yet we’re ageing prematurely

The vast majority of people are ageing prematurely. The ageing process is impacting earlier and earlier in life, primarily because most people do not know how to mitigate this – and it is absolutely possible to do exactly that and slow down ageing and avoid premature ageing

2. We’re living longer, but not healthier: our older years are increasingly spent in poor health

On average, the last 20% of life is spent challenged by age-related illness and decline, and associated poorer quality of life. The earlier we start to protect our future, by implementing healthy ageing and longevity strategies, the more we minimise that risk and the more we enhance our ability for longer life – in greater health and wellbeing.

3. Risk-factors for age-related diseases & conditions (physical, mental & cognitive) are kicking-in earlier & earlier

These Risks start to kick in from our mid 30’s onwards, (and earlier for women). It is entirely possible to slow this down, and to minimise the accumulation of these risks.

4. Ageing starts at a cellular level, from our mid 20’s – and speeds up as we age

In our 20’s and 30’s it is likely we will not particularly notice signs and indications of physical ageing, but ageing, at a cellular level, is occurring and continually building, to the point where we start to notice the impact physically.

5. Age-related conditions are THE greatest cause of death, suffering & poor quality of life.

It is incredible that these are THE GREATEST CAUSE yet, generally, most people are not doing much to avoid this (apart from ignoring the reality, or just keeping their fingers crossed !)

6. Being 50 increases the risks 100-fold

The Risks of so called Diseases of Ageing (Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Neurological decline & Dementia), when we hit 50, increase not 100% but one hundred times !!

7. By age of 70, it is 1000-fold

It is entirely possible (and becoming more and more possible) to live into our 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 100’s and more – BUT we need to do so with as little risk as possible of the impact of the diseases of ageing.

8. 77% of older adults will already have at least two chronic diseases

This is a huge percentage of people already impacted by diseases of ageing, such as heart disease, and all of these diseases of ageing have significant impact not just on health, and quality of life, but also our lifespan and longevity.
