About Me

For me, in the great words of Iggy Pop, I’ve always had a ‘Lust for Life’. I’m in my early sixties, and I consider that I have just hit middle age. My aim is at least 120 years of age – provided I am in good health, physically, mentally and emotionally, living a full life and still enjoying every minute of it.

Why that aim? Well, for me, firstly, because, for the first time in human history, IT IS ACHEIVABLE. – also because life has so much to offer, so much to engage with, and so much to love – so why not Love Life Longer !!

I’m fortunate that I have already done a lot and lived a life rich in experience (mostly positive but, as with all lives, with its fair share of ups and downs). I’ve travelled the world widely, engaged in lots of different experiences & activities, created a diverse and wonderful portfolio of careers, and along the way, over the last 30+ years, I’ve been privileged to help empower the health, wellbeing and longevity of very many people. I fully intend to keep on doing all of that, and more – and Loving Life for as long as possible.

My personal loves include – my wife Teena, our rescue dogs (LaLa, Lillie & Bella), our rescue cat (Luna), a wonderful circle of friends, travel (51 countries so far and counting), skiing, skydiving, scuba-diving, riding, music, reading, writing. Personal loves that combine professional loves include healing, meditation, bio-energetics, positive psychology and other things in that domain.

My lifestyle aspirations include – getting my Yacht Master licence & sailing around the world, getting my Pilots licence, trekking to Everest basecamp, trekking Kilimanjaro, life-long learning (new knowledge, new skills), writing and publishing my first novel, taking a trip to space – the list goes on, and will continue to grow.

Those are some of my personal loves and aspirations. A little further below, I share my professional & work history. Much of that time, over the last 30 years or so, has been dedicated to helping people improve their physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing. I fully intend continuing to do that (I have no intention of retiring, at any age) and a big part of my focus over the last decade or so has been empowering Longevity Wellness, and the ability for people to live Younger, Longer, Healthier & Happier.

Part of my Bigger Picture focus – is to genuinely make a positive difference in the world !

A little bit about my life, work & career history

In my late twenties, I qualified as a Solicitor in the UK. I also qualified as an Attorney in New York. I worked in London and Manhattan and after just a couple of years, was offered an early partnership. Although I loved being a lawyer, after much reflection, and following intuition, I decided to turn down the offer, leave my job and just head out into the world, to see what it had to offer and to follow other passions – all without a plan, or end goal, and with most people, (quite reasonably), thinking I was nuts

The first thing I did was a wonderful season as a ski-bum in Europe. I then headed to Mexico, and following the recommendation of a friend, travelled through Mexico, down to the Yucatan. This friend had recommended I find a secluded beach he knew about and spend a few days there. At the time, over 30 years ago, this beach was indeed secluded and not well known. I hung my hammock between two palm trees close to the sea – and I ended up living on the beach for a year ! Much of that time, I had the beach to myself, and that was the start of my meditative way of living. I also spent time doing a lot of scuba diving, including in the stunning underground caverns in the rain forest, and training as a dive instructor.

I then travelled for a few years through Central America, Asia, Australia, NZ, US & Canada. Throughout that time, I continued to progress my strong interest in things like meditation, healing, integrated health, and energy-work, as well as doing lots of diving and dive teaching.

From there, I spent some time in Egypt managing a dive centre, before deciding to set up my own dive school in the UK. I ran that for several years (it quickly became one of the top dive schools). I spent a lot of time taking groups of dive students and divers on dive trips and holidays around the world – throwing in a few ski trips, and skydiving outings for fun!

In all that time, I continued to deepen my interest, and my experience, in various areas of health & wellbeing. I gave up my dive school to focus full time on wellbeing and healing. I trained as a Reiki practitioner and was invited to become a Reiki Master (I followed a traditional route and was only the 2nd person in 12 years that my teacher invited to train as a Master via that route). I’ve been a practitioner, teacher and Master for over 25 years.

I have been teaching Meditation & Mindfulness over the same period of time, together with knowledge and techniques in integrated health and positive psychology. I also trained in Cranio-Sacral Therapy.

For over a quarter of a century, I have been helping and empowering people to greater health, wellbeing and longevity. Over that period, I’ve worked with many people, businesses and organisations and these are some of the highlights:
